This season's new work includes images of flowers and snow. I am interested in the juxtaposition of the lively colors of fresh flowers against the cold, monochromatic colors of winter. Snow seems to provide a cushion of sorts, a protective coating that shields us -- and the flowers sleeping below -- from winter's harsh winds.
