Truro From Above

This season's new work includes a series of bird's eye views of Truro. I've paid attention to the flowing line of the Pamet River as it finds its way across Truro; the edginess and blurs of the line where land meets sea; the ways in which human habitation has shaped the land. I have left parts of the brilliant underpainting showing through the final layers of paint, as they seemed to add a livliness that reflects that of the landscape.
